Hello, Again

I erased all of my gists. I unlinked all of my blog posts. I've had a fun career and learned a lot of things. Now it is time to say goodbye to the past and hello to the future.

Do you need code as of October 2026? Just go generate it. Codex and Claude write very nice code. They are consistent. They never get tired or cranky. They write a lot of tests. Almost everything you need you can get out of a mid-tier account. Of course a mistake slips through now and then, but developers made more mistakes, slowly and at greater cost.

Codex and Claude will get even better. Other models will get better. They will get better at a faster pace and in interesting new ways. These are the early days.

I'll be diving head-first in to the new world. Maybe I can help define it or maybe I just get swept along. Maybe I end up doing something away from the computer. I still have gas in the tank and want to participate in the world.

There isn't anything else I can write about AI that hasn't been written a thousand times already. I am embracing the new world and trying to find a new way. Good luck to us all.
